Muscat, the capital of Oman, sits on the coast of the Gulf of Oman rather than the Arabian Gulf, framed by the Al Hajar mountains — different terrain from the flat coastal cities elsewhere on this list. That doesn't remove it from the region's dust picture: prevailing winds still carry dust transport that affects the wider Gulf, Muscat included.

Nafas forecasts Muscat's air quality 48 hours ahead, twice a day, using the same Copernicus CAMS, Sentinel-5P, and OpenAQ / public ground-station pipeline used for every other city it covers, turned into a plain-language call rather than left as a number.

Forecasts are built on Copernicus CAMS (via Open-Meteo), cross-checked against Sentinel-5P and OpenAQ / public ground stations where available. No hardware owned or deployed.  Read how it's built →
